"Comedy Invasion for Project Graduation"

The Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse, Inc. (CAASA) announces the return of the “Comedy Invasion for Project Graduation” featuring comedians, Chris Franjola, Matt Bergman and Tim D. Miller.
Mr. Franjola can be heard hosting his highly successful podcast, “Cover to Cover with Chris Franjola.” He was a regular panel guest on “Lights Out with David Spade” on Comedy Central and on Fox’s gameshow “Punchline”. Chris was a writer and regular on E!s hit show “Chelsea Lately”.
Matt Bergman is easily relatable and versatile, a skillset that has opened the door to tv appearances on “Gotham Comedy Live”, “Comedy Central Live” and a “Dry Bar Comedy Special”.
Tim D. Miller is a master at engaging audiences and crafting a stand-up set that is guaranteed a good time for all. His material is based on his life experience from Waco to the Army to the White House, trying to raise a daughter and his unique ability to find the funny in everyday life. Tim has appeared on TRU TV and in 2019 performed at “Comedy Central’s Clusterfest”. He is the producer and host of “Read the Room,” a crowd work showcase.
The show is rated PG13. All proceeds benefit Project Graduation, an alcohol-free and drug-free celebration for the graduating seniors from Calvert, Huntingtown, Northern and Patuxent High Schools.

Drug Take Back Day
LOCATION: Southern Community Center, Lusby and Northeast Community Center, Chesapeake Beach
TIME: 10 am to 2 pm
Stop by Southern Community Center or Northeast Community Center on Saturday, April 22nd and dispose of your unwanted and/or expired medications. Local law enforcement and volunteers will be on hand to collect your medication and provide resource information. Help us keep medications from falling into the wrong hands.
Remember Calvert County has two 24/7 drop boxes located at the Calvert County Sheriff's Office (30 Church Street, Prince Frederick) and Maryland State Police Barrack "U", 210 Main Street, Prince Frederick.

Parenting Again - Stepping In for Parents Who Can't
Location: Calvert Library, Prince Frederick
10 am to 1 pm
Sometimes family and friends are called on to raise children who aren't theirs due to a behavioral health issue of the parents. This can be overwhelming and stressful. Join us for the workshop as we provide information to help and support you. Our guest speakers will share their experiences raising children again - providing insights on where and how to get the help you need.
In addition, others will share information on social media safety, building assets in children, handling grief and other aspects of raising children in 2023.
Local agencies will be on hand to talk one on one with attendees and share resource information.
