Canaan Farms offers horseback riding lessons and trail riding for our students. Lessons are available with our instructors for beginners on up to advanced riders. The Canaan Farms facility has a unique setting with a large horse barn, 2 outdoor arenas, a round pen, and turn-out paddocks. Open by appointment only. In order to promote their goal of connecting people to the land the American Chestnut Land Trust (ACLT) began a small CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm producing vegetables for shareholders from May through October. Produce grown covers the full spectrum from arugula to zucchini and includes many heritage types from around the world as well as traditional main crop garden varieties. Jake's Produce and Linda's Greenhouses offers you-pick opportunities at their Broomes Island farm. With two farm stand locations, in Breezy Point and on Broomes Island Road, Jake's Produce offers seasonal holiday items as well as value-added products, fruits and vegetables!
