Law Enforcement Committee

The misuse of alcohol and other drugs  impacts a community's safety and well-being.  From patrolling our roadways and neighborhoods to providing leadership and prevention education to students, local law enforcement work closely with county and state agencies to keep our community safe. 


The following objectives are aimed at promoting public safety in the community:

  • Participate in National Night Out activities
  • Enlist and encourage participation of students in community outreach through the Explorers Program
  • Participate in the Calvert County Neighborhood Watch Program
  • Participate in local drug take back events
  • Partner with local agencies and communities to promote a safe Calvert County

  • D.A.R.E. Program - Provided in middle schools only
  • National Night Out Program
  • Neighborhood Watch Program -  The program meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the County Services Plaza Conference Room.  Due to COVID-19 meetings are suspended until further notice (3/2020)
