Calvert County Family Network - Board of Directors

Overview

The board serves as an advisory board to the Board of County Commissioners, facilitating the implementation and/or enhancement of those programs mandated by the state, targeting at-risk youth and families.

Composition

The BOCC shall appoint at least 13, but not more than 19, members. In accordance with the State of Maryland Policies and Procedures Manual Local Management Boards, the following public sector entities shall be represented on the CCFN Board:

  • Board of Education
  • Core Service Agency
  • Department of Social Services
  • Department of Juvenile Services
  • Health Department
  • Local government
  • Local law enforcement

Private sector (non-governmental) appointees shall comprise no more than 49% of the total membership. Every effort will be made to ensure that the composition of the LMB represents the ethnic and geographical diversity of Calvert County. The term of each member shall be three years, with staggered term expiration dates. Members may not serve for more than two consecutive full terms.

NOTE: An "Open Meeting" may enter into a "Closed Meeting" which is closed to the public pursuant to Section 10-508 of the State Government article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
